In memory of the late

REVEREND BETTYE HOLLAND WILLIAMS

First Woman Elected President of the

Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc.

Rev. Bettye Holland Williams  graduated from Oral Roberts University, holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.  She makes it known that she got her “burning” before she got her “learning”. She was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1995 and ordained by her pastor, Rev. Gregory Sutton, in 1996 at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.

Rev. Holland was the founder of the B. J. Holland Institute of Ministry, established in 2002, making the Institute 16 years old. Men and women attend the Institute to gain more bible knowledge and get equipped for ministry. Over 1700 students have come through those doors.

Presently, she was a  member of Hunter Hill 1st Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, Ga., where Rev. Christopher Wimberly is pastor.  At Hunter Hill she served as Coordinator of the Ministerial Team, preaching and teaching as her pastor assigns.  At Hunter Hill, she was voted the “WOMAN WHO ROCKS” in ministry.  In the Red Hat Organization, 3-L Chapter, she was voted Red Hatter of the Year, 2018-2019.  Her sweet spirit and down to earth sense of humor causes people to be at ease in her presence.

Rev. Holland  served as the Vice President of the Women’s Division of the Concerned Black Clergy of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. for several years. The Concerned Black Clergy is the primary, proactive and principle-centered organization where the mission is to provide leadership, advocacy and service to the homeless, helpless and hopeless in our community.  In the thirty-sixth year history of Concerned Black Clergy, Rev. Bettye Holland Williams was elected the First Women to hold the office of Presidency this year in 2019.

Rev. Holland was a  gifted bible teacher and she preaches with power and conviction.  She was the devoted wie of  Deacon Oree Williams who both serve at Hunter Hill Baptist Church.

Rev. Bettye Holland Williams transitioned from Labor to Reward on

Monday, December 14, 2020. She will be greatly missed!
